COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Organ System and ABVP Core Examination Review course is divided into 3 modules. Each module provides a systematic review of the physiology & pathophysiology of the organ systems included in that section. You will be able to use the 3 modules of this course as a focused and comprehensive preparation tool for the ABVP Core Examination. Even if you aren't going to take the exam, the depth and breadth of this material will provide you with an up-to-date review of organ system pathophysiology.

Module A includes the following topics: Neurology, Immunology, Dentistry, Coagulation and Oncology, Surgery, Anesthesia*

Within these topics, you will learn the important pathophysiologic mechanisms that underlie the diagnosis and treatment of disease in dogs and cats.

Week 2 (4/5): Neurology 2 -- Anne Katherman , DVM, DACVIM and William Thomas , DVM, MS, DACVIM (Neurology)

Week 3 (4/12): Immunology -- Robert M. Gogal Jr, DVM

Week 4 (4/19): Dentistry -- Steve Holmstrom , DVM, DAVCD

Break Week

Week 5 (5/3): Coagulation and Oncology -- Karri Meleo , DVM, DACVIM, DACVR and Neal Mauldin, DVM, DACVIM

Week 6 (5/10): Oncology (conclusion) -- Karri Meleo , DVM, DACVIM, DACVR and Neal Mauldin, DVM, DACVIM

Week 7 (5/17): Surgery-- Bob Richardson, DVM and Joe Hauptman, DVM, MS, DACVS

Week 8 (5/24): Anesthesia-- Meghan Richey Meghan Richey, DVM, MS, DACVA and Chuck McGrath, DVM, DACVA

Module B (June 14 - Aug 9, 2007) includes the following topics: Respiratory, Pharmacology, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, Fluids/Acid Base, Nephrology/Urology and Ophthalmology.*

Module C (Aug 23 - Oct 25, 2007) includes the following topics: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Reproduction and Hematology/Chemistry. *

COURSE WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY: Withdrawal prior to the listed start date of a course entitles the registrant to a complete refund or a credit toward a future VIN CE course, whichever is preferred. Withdrawal within 1 week after the listed start date (i.e. including no more than one real-time session) entitles the registrant to a credit toward any future VIN CE course. (Does not apply to courses with only one real-time session.) After the first real-time session, a registrant may withdraw due to special circumstances and receive prorated credit towards a future VIN course. These requests will be handled on an individual basis. The amount of the prorated credit will be determined based on 65% of the time remaining in the course at the time of withdrawal. It is not possible to withdraw retroactively.
