This basic level course is intended to give a broad overview of the concepts related to canine and feline vaccination. Topics will include the history and mechanism of vaccination, an overview of conditions we vaccinate against, the most up to date recommendations on vaccine scheduling, and a discussion of possible adverse events. This course is primarily directed towards newer graduates and those new to the canine/feline field, but it would also serve as a good refresher for seasoned companion animal practitioners. Required Textbook(s): There is no required textbook for this course. About the Presenter:
Thomas Hansen is a graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline Practice). In addition to serving as a consultant and CE instructor on VIN he is in general and emergency practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. His favorite areas of practice are cats, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and ultrasound. Total CE Credit: 6
