Evidenced-based medicine is an essential approach to provide patients with state-of-the-art care. Research in 2019 yielded significant advances in the field of emergency and critical care. This session will review important 2019 publications that will impact care for acute care patients. Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- Apply knowledge gained to improve patient care.
- Provide a brief overview of currently available continuing education tools and how to leverage them.

During this session, we will review important 2020 publications that advanced the field of veterinary emergency and critical care and the core concepts of critical assessment. Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required to earn a certificate of completion for the course. Course Materials: Course materials will be available in the course library prior to each Real Time Session.
