Course Information:
Sometimes the best way to learn is by looking at real examples. This course will show real world cases and how to work through some of the most common scenarios in veterinary dermatology. As always, you can receive RACE credit which be very useful since many meetings are canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
  • demonstrate useful and practical diagnostic tests for the pruritic dog.
  • understand commonly used treatment and which ones to use when.
  • describe how to approach common ear problems in the dog.
  • describe how to prevent recurrent otitis and why this occurs.
  • understand when surgery is your best or only option for treatment of canine Otitis externa.
  • demonstrate when and if you should prescribe systemic antibiotics for pyoderma.
  • describe steps to take when your antibiotic therapy fails in pyoderma.
