Even though this book was written for the British market, much of what is contained is basic law. Good law is based on common sense and logic at the outset, so extrapolating this information to domestic issues should be informative. Why British law, you ask? Because, as far as I can find in research, there is not a good book on American law for farmers and landowners that is as concise as this one.

I would recommend that this book be used to familiarize oneself with the basic tenets of law, as it will give you valuable information on how to research similar laws in your own area. It may not give you exact answers for your particular area, but it will give you a road map and an idea of where to look and what to expect. It is interesting and contains an excellent glossary.
