I should have had a clue when I had trouble getting the CD out. The box is poorly designed and I was forced to use a knife to open it.

This is a video game that is supposed to take the player through a series of vet emergencies. You are given an inadequate number of choices for diagnostics, no place to enter your findings, and nowhere to go. The choices are poor and the instruments can't be utilized properly. For instance, on a dog case, the thermometer, which jumps to a well-illustrated anus, shows a temperature of 98.6, but the written result tells you that the temp is 100, (described as normal). Another example: a light that jumps into the mouth and, from the appearance of a large brown object and a history of drooling, you might guess a foreign body wedged in the teeth -- but the game suggests dental tartar and you are supposed to pursue the game further.

I chose an iguana to examine, and could not get to the radiograph necessary to rule out malnutrition or calcium deficiency (classic signs described). The game suggests that you use a magnifying glass on the body, one of the exam room tools. I have never seen a magnifying glass (ala Sherlock Holmes) in an exam room, but I did as suggested and saw nothing that would be of any help. I was hoping it would show me some juicy mites. It is not clear how to get this individual to a radiograph, so I eventually gave it up.

The game sounds like it could be fun, but it was not well thought out and it does not move along smoothly. I say no sale.
