This book is an excellent resource for those in the veterinary profession who want to improve their communication with clients. It provides information on the various personalities of clients, how each of them differs, and how each one should be handled. It also includes a personality test so the reader can find their personality type and how clients with apposing personalities may perceive what they say and how they act.

There are sections that go over the different verbal and non-verbal ways people communicate, detailing how to improve both. There is also a valuable chapter that discusses communication during euthanasia with a grieving client.

This book would be valuable for new graduates who have little experience communicating with clients outside a university setting. It would also be helpful as a review for experienced veterinarians who find themselves frustrated with their client interactions and seek improvement.
