With the increase in diagnostic skills and the identification of a greater number of cancer cases, this book has a case-based, quick-reference format leading the veterinarian from diagnosis to management, providing wider choices for effective treatment. Commonly occurring questions are addressed as to the handling of these cancers in daily practice.

The authors' goal was to provide an up-to-date reference for students as well as a practice manual for rapid reference for practitioners.

With the improvement in general nutrition and health through vaccines and disease treatment, dogs and cats are living longer, and are at higher risk for cancers. This book will answer the everyday questions through an easy to follow algorithms, assisting the clinician in making decisions for treatment.

Photos are provided where appropriate, relevant headings are highlighted for easy location and Key Points are likewise boxed and highlighted. Some of the photos lack sufficient contrast to exactly see what is intended so that is something that might be corrected in a later edition. The diagnostic/treatment charts are excellent and easy to follow. There are plenty of diagnostic hematology slides, radiographs, and illustrations of possible presentations to give the reader a clear path.

There are numerous examples of Further Reading titles at the end of each chapter in the event that more follow-up is desired. Since much of this text is in outline form, the reader may want to invest in some of the suggested titles.
