Things To Do This Week ...
"The high prevalence of urinary tract infection in dogs in this study (42%) combined with the infrequent (less than 5%) occurrence of clinical signs of infection and the absence of pyuria and bacteriuria in 19% make urine culture an indicated procedure in all cases during the initial assessment of dogs with diabetes mellitus or HAC."
Retrospective Evaluation of Urinary Tract Infection in 42 Dogs with Hyperadrenocorticism or Diabetes Mellitus or Both

"Any previous insult to the brain (i.e. vascular, trauma, infectious) - these are all non-progressive. Progressive disease such as tumors can also cause focal seizure activity. Even metabolic or toxic categories may sometimes present as focal seizures, so focal seizures are not specific to cause, but they are not from heritable etiology."
