ANOTHER NOTE!!
Things To Do This Week ... 1. "It takes 4-6 hours for the fent to reach blood levels in the cat. As such, there is essentially no fent present at receptors... so you can indeed use ANY opioid you care to during this time. That includes the agonists like morphine and oxymorphone." 2. "Barium studies may outline radiolucent foreign bodies such as cloth or plastic, (either as a filling defect or by pooling at the defect). Infiltrative gastric masses are persistently constricted and never show peristalsis; look carefully at the antrum. Gastric ulcers may have focal retention of the barium or barium may move into the stomach wall. Consider gastric outflow obstruction if the barium doesn't move into duodenum within 30 -40 minutes or if barium is still in stomach (in cats) 1 hour or (in dogs) 3 hours after barium."
