Abstract: As leader in your organisation it is critical you can communicate effectively with your staff. A leader has a number of distinctive characteristics which can be developed through awareness and training. Learning to be a leader for your horse can provide invaluable experience and understanding about the requirements of leadership. Pat Parelli's method of Natural Horsemanship is presented as a model of leadership in practice. Horse leadership skills are translated into people leadership skills.
