Do you want to be a veterinarian? VeterinaryPartners.com presents this collection of resources to help guide you through your career decision.

Veterinary school graduates today show a gender shift since the early days of formal veterinary education. 50 years ago a woman veterinarian was the exception rather than the rule. Today, women comprise approximately 70% of the graduates from our nation's 27 schools of veterinary medicine.

The result, some argue, is a more compassionate professional. Others feel this will create a greater demand for veterinarians in the future as the gender shift will yield more women who work part-time in order to raise children. Others feel that veterinary medicine is a shining example of the fight for workplace equality. What do you think?
