Peri-operative Pain Management

Would YOU like some free CE? Sign up NOW for What's All This About COX, Docs?: The Next Step in Peri-operative Pain Management. This 1.5 CE credit hour session, sponsored by Novartis, will be held on Sunday, October 27, during Sunday Rounds. Sunday Rounds is open to all VINners (veterinarians/veterinary students). Enroll before 8 pm ET, Thursday, October 24, if you wish to be eligible for the FREE CE credits. It is not necessary to enroll if you won't be participating for credit.

PSST!
Are you a little apprehensive because you signed up for the COX course, but have never used VIN's Unity Conferencing System in Rounds or CE before?

We can help!

Attend one of the COX event practice sessions Tuesday, October 22, or Friday, October 25, at 9 pm ET, and learn how to use VIN's Unity Conferencing System software. (If you have not previously installed Unity, there is a link from the event page.) It is very important that all participants download and install the VIN Unity Conferencing System prior to the session. The process takes approximately 10 minutes, so you will miss a considerable portion of the COX session if you do not do it in advance.
NOTE: If you need help installing the software, call 800-700-4636 or email support@vin.com.

Defend Your Practice from Lawsuits
Veterinary malpractice insurers say that attempts to resolve client disputes may be used against the veterinarian later in an attempt to show an admission of wrong-doing, but this isn't true.

Diagnosis and Therapeutic Management of Lead Toxicosis in Falcons in Saudi Arabia
Radiographic findings alone are not sufficient to diagnose lead toxicosis in falcons. The LeadCare Blood Lead Testing System can be successfully used to determine blood lead concentrations up to 65 ug/dl as part of the overall diagnostic workup of lead toxicosis.

Receptionist Incorrectly Filling Prescriptions
I agree with others - you have to physically check and read every Rx that goes out.

Coonhound Paralysis And Vaccinations
True coonhound paralysis is an immune-mediated disease caused by sensitivity to raccoon saliva. Acute idiopathic polyradiculoneuritis is a similar syndrome elicited by another, usually unknown, antigen.
