The concentration of clindamycin in the mandibles of dogs and cats may be useful to combat infections after periodontal procedures, tooth extractions, or injuries to the mandible.
Effectiveness and Comparison of Citronella and Scentless Spray Bark Collars for the Control of Barking in a Veterinary Hospital Setting
The authors conclude that the use of an anti-bark collar is very effective for reducing the frequency of barking in dogs within a kennel environment and that anecdotally, the staffs at both hospitals were very pleased with the efficacy of the collars in reducing noise within the workplace.
Cystic Thyroid and Parathyroid Lesions in Cats
Early distinction of a cystic parathyroid mass from a thyroid cyst is important, as hyperfunctioning parathyroid lesions require early surgical intervention, whereas some functional cystic thyroid lesions could be managed medically.

Torb vs Morphine For Cat Premedication
Canines have a sedative response to morphine; felines an excitatory response. When using morphine in cats (which I don't normally do these days), I always add acepromazine.
Temporary Improvement Of Hindlimb Paralysis In A Dog
Megaesophagus, diagnosed in about 3% of hypothyroid dogs, has not been proven to be caused by hypothyroidism -- primarily because of the lack of documented resolution of megaesophagus after treatment of hypothyroidism. The esophageal dysfunction, if truly related to hypothyroidism, could be the result of either a neuropathy or myopathy secondary to hypothyroidism. A recent analysis of risk factors for development of megaesophagus did not show an increased incidence of hypothyroidism in affected dogs compared with dogs that underwent evaluation of thyroid function for other reasons, suggesting that hypothyroidism is not a risk factor for megaesophagus.
