How to Use VIN's Unity Conferencing Software

Are you a little apprehensive because you signed up for the NSAIDs course, but have never used VIN's Unity Conferencing System in Rounds or CE before?

We can help!

Attend the NSAIDs event practice session:
Friday, September 27, at 9 pm ET.

Learn how to use VIN's Unity Conferencing System software. (If you have not previously installed Unity, there is a link from the event page - http://www.vin.com/event/ .) It is very important that all participants download and install the VIN Unity Conferencing System prior to the session. The process takes approximately 10 minutes, so you will miss a considerable portion of the NSAIDS session if you do not do it in advance.
NOTE: If you need help installing the software, call 800-700-4636 or email support@vin.com.

Comparison of vedaprofen and meloxicam in dogs with musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.
Mild transient gastrointestinal signs were observed in both groups (11 per cent vedaprofen, 12 per cent meloxicam). Adverse effects related to NSAIDs resulted in treatment cessation in 5 per cent of the dogs in each group. Vedaprofen and meloxicam were efficacious in, and well tolerated by, most of the dogs in the study.

Physiology and behavior of dogs during air transport.
These results suggest that transportation is stressful for dogs and that sedation with acepromazine, at the dosage and timing used, does not affect the physiological and behavioral stress responses of dogs to air transport.

Lack of detection of feline leukemia and feline sarcoma viruses in diffuse iris melanomas of cats by immunohistochemistry and polymerase chain reaction.
Feline leukemia virus/feline sarcoma virus was not detected in any neoplasms and therefore was unlikely to play a role in the tumorigenesis of these feline diffuse iris melanomas.

Tiny Calves
Calves as small as 9 - 18 kg were produced by cows with a low heat tolerance that were pregnant during the summer. In every instance, the bull calf had a mass smaller than that of the heifer calf.

PCR Test For FIP?
There is no test that can differentiate or predict the outcome of any feline corona virus infection. There are ways and algorithms that can help with the diagnosis of the disease antemortem, but it is not an easy diagnosis and - until we understand what factors trigger its expression - we are shooting in the dark.

Coccidia, Disinfectants
Oocysts of Cryptosporidium parvum suspended in 5.25, 2.63, or 1.31% aqueous sodium hypochlorite (Clorox laundry bleach) for 10, 30, 60, or 120 min at 21 degrees C were administered by gastric intubation to neonatal BALB/c mice. Microscopic examination of intestinal tissue sections revealed developmental stages of C. parvum in all of the mice.
