Are you going to New Orleans for IVECCS?

Stop by VIN's Cyber-Cafe (Acadia Ballroom Foyer, third floor) and say hello to Nate and Paul. They'd love to meet you in person.

Are you attending the FIV Rounds on Sunday, September 7, 2003?

Friday, Sept. 5, 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm ET there will be a Webtour Practice Session for the FIV Course. If you are unfamiliar with VIN's Unity Conferencing System, WebTours, and Rounds protocol, come to this practice session to get ready.

NOTE: If you have not previously installed Unity, you can do so from the Rounds page. It is very important that all participants download and install the VIN Unity Conferencing System prior to the FIV Rounds. (You will miss a considerable portion of the interactive FIV: Afraid Of A Positive session unless you install Unity before the live Rounds session starts.) If you need help installing the software, call 800-700-4636 or email support@vin.com.

Histologic changes in ruptured canine cranial cruciate ligament
Extensive alterations to the cell populations and collagenous extracellular matrix structure were seen in ruptured CCL. Although a proliferative epiligamentous repair response was seen in ruptured CCL, there was a lack of any bridging scar between the ruptured ends of the CCL.

Diseases and Outcomes in Rabbits with High BUN Levels
Gastrointestinal disorder (54 cases) was the most common disease, followed by overgrowth of molar teeth, and then liver disturbance. The total mortality was 48.9% within three months.

Catching Something Another Doctor Missed
How do we admit to the client that we goofed without, hopefully, appearing completely incompetent?

Vet Med vs Lawyers
Why are we letting practice management and legal people advise us on best medical practices? Seems it is time for us to take the bull by the horns and encourage our medical experts to truly collate some data and take a stand here.

Be Computer Smart!

There are some nasty viruses floating around out there right now, so be careful! Here's a few tips to remain virus-free and happy!

  1. Keep your virus software up to date.
  2. Download NOTHING -- unless you are absolutely positive it is safe.
  3. Use the maximum safety settings, if using Outlook/Outlook Express.
  4. Use a firewall, if you have broadband access.

You'll find a link to VIN's Virus & Hoax Center from the VINdex on the Front Page.
