Medical and Surgical Treatment of Pyothorax in Dogs: 26 Cases (1991-2001)
Calculated proportions of dogs free from disease 1 year after treatment were 25 and 78%, respectively, for dogs treated medically and surgically. Treatment was 5.4 times as likely to fail in dogs treated medically as in dogs treated surgically.

Thoracic Radiography, Bronchoalveolar Lavage Cytopathology, and Pulmonary Parenchymal Histopathology: A Comparison of Diagnostic Results in 11 Cats

Severe Carpal and Tarsal Shearing Injuries Treated With an Immediate Arthrodesis in Seven Dogs
This clinical study demonstrated that an immediate, definitive management technique, in which bone fusion and wound management are undertaken as simultaneous objectives, is a viable technique for the management of severe periarticular shearing injuries.

Chronic Snuffler, Rhinoscopy, Cat
Do a nasal flush: cuff up on ET tube, swab oropharynx, blast saline through each nostril (make sure someone is holding the eyes in - seriously) and collect in the mouth.

Methocarbamol In Stomach Contents?
Methocarbamol has a wide volume of distribution in the body and readily crosses compartmental barriers such as the placenta, so it is not unreasonable to speculate that intravenous administration of methocarbamol may result in detectable levels in various bodily fluids, including gastric juices.

Is Iguana 'Renal Disease' Really A Parathyroiditis?
This disease makes a ton more sense if we think of this as "parathyroiditis". In parathyroiditis (seen in man, dogs, and 1 cat report), the phosphorus is high, calcium is low, and sodium is high. There is no change in BUN or creatinine (in mammals).
