New Diagnostic Imaging Center!

Aggressive behavior in the English cocker spaniel
Owner-directed aggression was more common in the ECS than in other breeds, although in similar contexts. In the ECS, the golden coat color was more common in the aggressive dogs than in nonaggressive dogs.
Canine blastomycosis: A review and update on diagnosis and treatment
Although infection almost always begins in the lungs before being disseminated through hematogenous or lymphatic routes to other body tissues, lung lesions occasionally resolve by the time infection in other sites becomes apparent.
Ophthalmic antimicrobial therapy in the horse
This paper reviews the routes of delivery, the pharmacokinetics, and the bioavailability of the various antimicrobial agents used in the treatment of ocular infection in the horse. The modes of action and the criteria for selection of the common antibacterial, antimycotic and antiviral drugs used are described.

Will a lepto dog be a risk to the children forever?
We are treating a dog at our clinic with potential Leptospirosis. Titers are pending. The owner's have 2 children- 8 months and 4 years old. Their Pediatrician said they needed to get rid of the dog as it would always pose a risk to the children. The husband wants to keep and treat the dog - the wife wants the dog to go.
Cardiac screening during geriatric wellness exams
Our clinic is developing a "wellness package" to market to our geriatric patients. I am trying to determine the best screen for the cardiac aspect of this. Routine radiographs seems too expensive and time consuming, and (I am embarressed to admit) EKGs are difficult for all of us to read and the burden might fall to one doctor. Is the verdict out on this cardiopet proBNP test yet? Found lots of post saying no in cats but unsure about dogs.
Do you pick up and deliver pets, medication, food, etc?
We offer this service through our boarding/grooming/training facility. We have a van with crates in it, and the van has a big wrap around logo. It's more profitable as an advertisement (word of mouth is huge and it's like a roving billboard).
Arthritis pain in a dog with chronic renal failure: use of physical therapy and rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the osteoarthritis patient concentrates on maintaining, improving, and/or restoring losses in musculoskeletal strength, cardivascular fitness, and joint function. We accomplish this only after adequate pain management, because the canine rehab patient will not work well if it is in pain.

Get More From VIN Search Tip: Increase the likelihood of your search returning the results you want by using PHRASES rather than SINGLE WORDS when you search: - Enter HEARTWORM ANTIGEN TESTS, not just HEARTWORM, if that's what you really want to search. - General terms like KIDNEY can sometimes be useful, but a more specific descriptor such as RENAL FAILURE or KIDNEY FAILURE is often more helpful. For more help and tips on searching, see Steps To A More Effective Search.
Funny Bones: Things that make sense to us One of our techs told her husband that we saw a puppy that had aspirated and turned blue. He was totally perplexed, and asked her what color the dog originally was, and how it could turn blue! He was imagining the whole dog changing color like the horses in the "Wizard of Oz"!
