Regional Nerve Blocks for Oral Surgery in Companion Animals
Due to its long duration of action, bupivacaine is the agent of choice for regional oral analgesia in companion animals. The maximum cumulative dose of bupivacaine is 2 mg/kg. The maxillary nerve block may be preferred over the infraorbital nerve block in providing anesthesia to the maxillary molars.

Defend Your Practice from Lawsuits
Veterinary malpractice insurers say that attempts to resolve client disputes may be used against the veterinarian later in an attempt to show an admission of wrong-doing, but this isn't true.

Interpretation Of CSF Distemper Serology
We have problems interpreting titers in CSF because of possible blood contamination. So how many RBCs were in the sample? If there were a lot, then you could have leakage of Ig from serum into the CSF sample.

Treating Mycobacteriosis Induces Shedding?
I will not treat a pet bird with no support of disease that has been in the same home/room as a bird with the disease - but WILL recommend more frequent physical examinations and possibly laboratory data base screening. Empirical treatment based on 'exposure only' just makes no sense to me (viewing what we know about Mycobacterium).
