Assessment of cytological criteria for diagnosing basal cell tumours in the dog and cat.
Basal cell tumours are, therefore, likely to be underdiagnosed on cytological examination due to non-specific features. The occurrence of other cell populations and lack of cells with basaloid structures and linear aggregation patterns might further confuse the tumour diagnosis.

West Nile virus infection in birds and mammals.
The epicenter was located in New York City with a high level of activity in the immediately surrounding counties. The percentage of WNV-positive birds was 33% for all birds tested throughout the state.

PCV from Body Cavities; Cross Matching
PCV in body cavities can be higher, lower, or the same as PCV in circulating blood. With body cavity hemorrhage, the PCV of blood in the body cavity depends on the circulating PCV at the time when the bleeding occurs, the length of time that it has been in the body cavity, and concurrent pathophysiologic changes that influence movement of other (non-blood) fluids into the cavity.

Huge Acral Lick Granuloma
For small lick lesions, topical capsaicin is helpful. One cheap way to apply this is to mix Liquid Heet and Bitter Apple 1:2. Paint around the lesion, TID.
