Just the FAQs!
The fastest route to an answer to your question is a VIN Database Search. But, because many topics have been discussed many times on the message boards, the number of "hits" you get can be overwhelming. To help you, the VIN team of consultants (and other experts) continue to create up-to-date summaries (FAQs) of topics commonly discussed on the message boards. Save time -- check out the Medical FAQs, before you post. Keep up to date with the newest medical FAQs:

Complications of fluid therapy
Although the benefits of intravenous catheterization and fluid administration are numerous, inherent risks are associated with the procedures, and care must be taken to avoid potential complications.
Emergency care and managing toxicoses in the exotic animal patient
This article details the ABCs of emergency medicine, including fluid therapy, and discusses the principles of neurologic management. The last part of the article provides the clinician with guidelines for decontamination and critical care management of some of the more common toxicoses in exotic animals.
Aqueous humor myocilin protein levels in normal, genetic carriers, and glaucoma Beagles
This study shows myocilin protein is present in normal Beagles, markedly increased in primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) Beagles, and mildly increased in genetic carrier Beagles. There is a strong correlation between amounts of aqueous humor (AH) myocilin protein and the presence and severity of POAG. The exact role of AH myocilin levels in the genesis of ocular hypertension remains unresolved, but myocilin may adversely affect AH outflow.

Should we be using H2O2 to clean wounds?
As a surgeon, I always advise people to stay away from peroxide for cleaning wounds. My main concern is the the fact that it is cytotoxic and may even delay wound healing.
Repair options for bilateral mandibular fracture
Highly variable. I would prefer to not perform interarcade bonding in an older animal because of alimenation. However a combination of interdental wiring (not interarcade) and a composite splint along the mandibles may work.
Electronic collar training methods
I think that the instructions attempted to have you use the collar as negative reinforcement (meaning that a desired behavior is reinforced by removing something aversive). However, what you actually wound up doing was positive punishment (meaning a behavior is punished and should diminish in occurrence by the addition of an aversive).
