Prevalence of Microsporidian Spores Shed by Asymptomatic Lovebirds: Evidence for a Potential Emerging Zoonosis
The high prevalence of spore shedding in this population of lovebirds suggests that bird droppings may be a potential environmental source of Encephalitozoon hellem infection in humans.
An Analysis of Canine Hair Re-Growth After Clipping for a Surgical Procedure

Do You Use Treatment Refusal Forms?
Should I be using the Against Medical Advice form for anything that walks out the door without being treated properly, or should I just continue using it only in extreme cases?

Veterinarian Claims my Vaccination Caused the Lymphoma

Suspected Mammary Carcinomas - Biospy? Remove? Risk of Seeding? General Recommendations for Dogs with Mammary Masses
My general recommendations for a dog with a mammary mass: minimal staging (ideally, but not all absolutely necessary: chest rads, general blood and urine, abdominal ultrasound). Make sure to palpate the regional lymph nodes. Then, en-bloc surgical resection of the mass (lumpectomy) if the mass is small, or mammary gland (mastectomy) if larger. Submite for histopahtology, and wait for additional information with prognostic significance (histo type, grade, vascular or lymphatic invasion, margins, lymphocytic infiltration, etc).
