Abscess-Forming Inflammatory Granulation Tissue with Gram-Positive Cocci and Prominent Eosinophil Infiltration in Cats: Possible Infection of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus
We occasionally encounter feline cervical or mesenteric lesions diagnosed histopathologically as abscess or inflammatory granulation tissue with eosinophil infiltration. Gram-positive cocci accompany the lesions.
Use of ultrasound to diagnose diaphragmatic rupture in dogs and cats
Consistent findings in animals with diaphragmatic rupture were irregular or asymmetric cranial aspect of the liver and abdominal viscera in the thorax. Accuracy of ultrasonography was 25/27 (93%).
Ultrasonographic appearance and etiology of corrugated small intestine
The presence of bowel wall corrugation, although a nonspecific finding, should alert one to the possibility of pancreatitis, enteritis, peritonitis, neoplasia, or bowel wall ischemia.
Staging of lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration in nonchondrodystrophic dogs using low-field magnetic resonance imaging
The association between magnetic resonance images and histopathologic findings was highly significant. A sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 79% for magnetic resonance imaging was calculated, using histopathology as the gold standard.

Need Help Interpreting This Stone Analysis
Your stone analysis is fairly typical for infection-induced struvite. The calcium phosphate and the ammonium urate are there because of the urease enzyme produced by the bacterium that caused the struvite stones to form.
Forelimb Lameness, Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy can be very helpful in difficult to diagnose front limb lameness. Several joints can be scoped with very little morbidity. Therapeutic benefits can be achieved with biceps tendon disease and OCD and medial coranoid fragments.
Panacur Safety In Lizards
The site of action for fenbendazole is tubulin, and it can affect any rapidly dividing cells, such as bone marrow and intestinal epithelium. Mike Garner at Northwest Zoopath calls it a radiomimetic lesion, because it resembles radiation damage.
ITP, Vomiting, Melena In Dachshund
If she's not having a good response to the pred after 1 week, then she's officially refractory to it. The Imuran takes 2-3 weeks to work, we think, so you're not exactly seeing the efficacy of that yet.
