Beta.vin.com: New Log Out Function!
There are many reasons you will want to choose http://Beta.vin.com as the route by which you enter VIN. Here are just a few:

If you work in a multi-doctor practice, you want to make sure you are accessing and posting under your own name so you can enjoy your own personalized settings and MyStuff (and protect your identity!).

Logging out will also keep you from leaving your identity vulnerable and/or accidentally impersonating a colleague. This hasn't always been an easy task.

The solution is to set http://Beta.vin.com as the way you enter VIN.

The new VIN security system we are testing on Beta.vin.com has a log out function on the Front Page and on the secondary security page.

Please give http://Beta.vin.com a good work out.

We promise that everything we ask you to test on http://Beta.vin.com has gone through rigorous testing by many VINners -- and will not cause you to experience the headaches that can come with early versions of software.

Beyond being the first to enjoy new features that will enhance your VIN experience -- your feedback and suggestions will help the VIN Wizards put the final touches on new VIN features and speed moving them to http://Beta.vin.com.

And as always, please let us know if you find any problems using either http://WWW.vin.com or http://Beta.vin.com.

Social learning in shelter dogs
We carried out a series of experiments which showed that (1) dogs could be shaped to sit in as few as 10 trials; (2) a verbal secondary reinforcer ('Good Dog!') was more effective than a clicker when used by untrained personnel; and (3) dogs retained and generalized their new skill to new people and locations.

Can trained sniffer dogs detect cancer in humans?
Can trained sniffer dogs detect cancer in humans? At our Institute, a research project was launched in 2004, aimed at canine training for routine detection of lung and breast cancer and melanoma on the base of breath odor.

How does your local VMA support the community?
We have brainstormed some ideas that include small scholarships for graduating high school students that finished the Vet Assisting Program at our Technical High School and intend to go to college. We also purchased subscriptions to KIND News for some of the area elementary and middle-school classrooms.

Selling spays on eBay
I have a problem with this: 'We are auctioning a dog spay surgery. This will include all anesthetic monitoring and equipment during your dog's spay. It includes surgery and pain medication before, during and after his surgery.' I find clients get annoyed when you spay their male animals.

Why is anemic cat eating kitty litter?
The stomach and bowel contents have mineral opacity particles distributed throughout. This could be kitty litter -- but why would a cat eat that?
