Why you shouldn't share your VIN login information with a colleague
VIN Terms of Service exist to maintain a secure network and protect VIN Members and the integrity of VIN as a community for Veterinarians only. Individuals accessing VIN should do so with their own personal secure information, setup within their own VIN account.

Colleagues, working in the same practice, are elligible for discounted group membership rates.

If more than one member of your practice is using a single-person VIN account, you and your colleagues should be enrolling as a group membership.

Follow this link for more information on how to setup a Group Membership.

Tools and Information!

Planned VIN Server Maintenance: VIN will be unavailable for a short time on Wednesday, April 16th at 3:00 am ET, while we add some new equipment. We expect this interruption to last less than an hour, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this interruption may cause.

Comparison of Unilateral Versus Bilateral Nasal Catheters for Oxygen Administration in Dogs
The benefit of bilateral nasal catheters for oxygen supplementation is the ability to provide high total oxygen flows with decreased risk of patient discomfort.

Treatment of biologically inactive nonunions by a limited en bloc ostectomy and compression plate fixation: A review of 17 cases
Use of an en bloc ostectomy technique for the treatment of biologically inactive nonunions permits easy resection of nonviable tissue. Subsequent fracture stabilization with compression plate fixation resulted in rapid bone healing without complications.

Synovial Cell Tumor?: Two Retrospective Studies
Evaluation of prognostic factors for dogs with synovial sarcoma: 36 cases (1986-1991). The authors conclude that treatment aggressiveness may be more appropriate than clinical staging or tumor grading in predicting survival, and that reliability of diagnosing and prognosticating canine SS with current immunohistochemistry protocols, as has been previously reported, should be questioned.

Coughing Shar Pei: Cancer Or Fungal?
The problem with mycotic disease radiographically is that it can look like anything. I have seen so much variation in the radiograpic presentation of this disease that I think that the best we can do is quote the odds and then acquire some type of lung sample.
