Why you shouldn't share your VIN login information with a colleague
VIN Terms of Service exist to maintain a secure network and protect the integrity of VIN as a community for Veterinarians only. Individuals accessing VIN should do so with their own personal secure information, setup within their own VIN account.

We do offer colleagues, working in the same practice, discounted group membership rates.

Follow this link for more information on how to setup a Group Membership.

If more than one member of your practice is using a single-person VIN account, you and your colleagues should be enrolling as a group membership.

Students on VIN!
Check out all the great resources we've compiled for students (and students at heart) in the new VIN Student Center. You will find a link in the VINDEX on the Front Page and in VIN's Library. Will you be a new grad and job hunting? Start your search at http://www.vin.com/MyCareer

Planning to Hire a New Grad?
The best graduating seniors are regular VIN users. Post your position in the new "Positions Offered --New Graduates" category in the Vetquest Classifieds.

Waltham USA Sponsors Student Access
Please take a moment to send a big "Thank You!" to Waltham (ThankYouWaltham@VIN.com) for their generous support of the VIN Student Member program.

Fenbendazole and Albendazole Toxicity in Pigeons and Doves
These findings are consistent with a toxic etiology and suggest that birds of the order Columbiformes are susceptible to toxicosis after FBZ or ABZ administration.

Effects of Storage Time and Temperature on pH, Specific Gravity, and Crystal Formation in Urine Samples from Dogs and Cats
Compared with aliquots stored at room temperature, refrigeration increased the number and size of crystals that formed in vitro. Storage time and temperature did not have a significant effect on pH or specific gravity.

Books For Grieving Clients
For many years we gave our grieving clients the book "When Your Pet Dies" by Jamie Quackenbush. The book is now out of print and we are looking for a replacement.

Pituitary Dwarfism Tests, Signs, And Treatment Options
With pituitary dwarfism, secondary hypothyroidism and hypoadrenocorticism commonly occur. Typically we test for these and treat as indicated. These are usually the things that cause the most important clinical problems in pituitary dwarfs -- at least in the short term. The disease is most often associated with a cystic Rathke’s pouch, so neuro abnormalities can develop. Dermatologic problems are common with growth hormone deficiency, but the significance of these problems -- as far as quality of life -- is questionable.
