Beta.vin.com: New Log Out Function!
There are many reasons you will want to choose http://Beta.vin.com as the route by which you enter VIN. Here are just a few:

If you work in a multi-doctor practice, you want to make sure you are accessing and posting under your own name so you can enjoy your own personalized settings and MyStuff (and protect your identity!).

Logging out will also keep you from leaving your identity vulnerable and/or accidentally impersonating a colleague. This hasn't always been an easy task.

The solution is to set http://Beta.vin.com as the way you enter VIN.

The new VIN security system we are testing on Beta.vin.com has a log out function on the Front Page and on the secondary security page.

Please give http://Beta.vin.com a good work out.

The VIN Wizards promise that everything you're asked to test on http://Beta.vin.com has gone through rigorous testing by many VINners -- and will not cause you to experience the headaches that can come with early versions of software.

Beyond being the first to enjoy new features that will enhance your VIN experience -- your feedback and suggestions will help the VIN Wizards put the final touches on new VIN features and speed moving them to http://WWW.vin.com .

And as always, please let us know if you find any problems using either http://WWW.vin.com or http://Beta.vin.com.

Help Advance Veterinary Medicine: Take Part in VIN Surveys
Almost 400 VINners have taken the canine lymphoma survey so far. The VIN clinical research team would love to have your help too!

This survey will help us prepare for a possible VIN-hosted on-line clinical trial of lymphoma therapy.

If you participated in another survey and haven't seen the results, check the Surveys and Clinical Research area in the Library.

Head North for Great CE!
Join many of your VIN colleagues at the ACVIM Forum 2009 -- June 3-6 in Montreal. Register soon! The early bird registration deadline is April 10.

Explore the 2008 Forum Proceedings. Access to the 2009 Forum Proceedings will be available to registrants prior to the Forum.

Free-roaming and surrendered dogs and cats submitted to a humane shelter in Wellington , New Zealand , 1999-2006

A toxicity study of low-dose rate half-body irradiation and chemotherapy in dogs with lymphoma
Preliminary survival data for these dogs were very encouraging, providing a strong rationale to analyse the efficacy of low-dose rate irradiation (LDRI) in canine lymphoma.

Billboard advertising
An outdoor sign in front of your building has always been considered to have a great return on investment - better than yellow pages, etc. So...... one could conclude that a well placed billboard a mile or two away on a main arterial in the direction of your hospital would be a great idea.

Rabies RAPID (saliva) test
I suspect that some of the negative results were animals that were infected with rabies, and the virus was present in the brain but had not reached the saliva yet. In such a case, the animal has rabies, but has no virus in the saliva yet, and would not transmit the virus through a bite.

Treating mild canine ulcerative periodontal syndrome step-by-step recommendations

Since removal of the polyp, the cat has had mild Horner's syndrome. How long will the Horner's syndrome last?

Search Tip:
Increase the likelihood of your search returning the results you want by using PHRASES rather than SINGLE WORDS when you search:
- Enter HEARTWORM ANTIGEN TESTS, not just HEARTWORM, if that's what you really want to search.
- General terms like KIDNEY can sometimes be useful, but a more specific descriptor such as RENAL FAILURE or KIDNEY FAILURE is often more helpful.
For more help and tips on searching, see Steps To A More Effective Search.
