Beta.vin.com: New Log Out Function!
There are many reasons you will want to choose http://Beta.vin.com as the route by which you enter VIN. Here are just a few:

If you work in a multi-doctor practice, you want to make sure you are accessing and posting under your own name so you can enjoy your own personalized settings and MyStuff (and protect your identity!).

Logging out will also keep you from leaving your identity vulnerable and/or accidentally impersonating a colleague. This hasn't always been an easy task.

The solution is to set http://Beta.vin.com as the way you enter VIN.

The new VIN security system we are testing on Beta.vin.com has a log out function on the Front Page and on the secondary security page.

Please give http://Beta.vin.com a good work out.

We promise that everything we ask you to test on http://Beta.vin.com has gone through rigorous testing by many VINners -- and will not cause you to experience the headaches that can come with early versions of software.

Beyond being the first to enjoy new features that will enhance your VIN experience -- your feedback and suggestions will help the VIN Wizards put the final touches on new VIN features and speed moving them to http://WWW.vin.com .

And as always, please let us know if you find any problems using either http://WWW.vin.com or http://Beta.vin.com.

Fancy yourself a great clinician? Put yourself to the test with these medical case studies - presented in an interactive format. Mark Kittleson has generously allowed the VIN Multimedia Team to experiment using content from his Case Studies in Small Animal Cardiovascular Medicine website.

Select a case, formulate a diagnostic plan and take the quiz to get feedback on your diagnostic abilities. Each case is even linked to the appropriate chapter of the VIN online book Small Animal Cardiovascular Medicine.

Work through some of the cases on Mark's wonderful site and some in the format. Tell us if you love or hate the new format. Your feedback is what drives changes in your VIN!

Quantitative analysis in spontaneous canine anal sac gland adenomas and carcinomas
The results indicated that (1) the mean nuclear area, mean nuclear perimeter, mean nuclear diameter, and nuclear roundness could be used as effective auxiliary tools for differential diagnosis between canine anal sac gland adenomas and adenocarcinomas, and (2) mean nuclear area, mean nuclear perimeter, and mean nuclear diameter are reliable prognostic indicators for canine anal sac gland adenocarcinomas.

American association of poison control centers database characterization of human tilmicosin exposures, 2001-2005
Over 250 cases of human tilmicosin exposure are reported to poison centers per year and over 150 of those are parenteral. Most exposures produce no or minor effects, but fatalities have occurred with parenteral exposure. Significant adverse and prolonged effects are reported at parenteral doses greater than 0.5 mL, suggesting that all parenteral exposures should be referred for healthcare facility evaluation.

Comparative pharmacokinetics of an injectable cephalexin suspension in beef cattle
Cephalexin plasma concentrations remained above 0.5-0.75microg/ml for 11-14 hours and 8-9 hours after the subcutaneous and intramuscular administrations, respectively. Thus, route of administration may be an important issue to be considered when calculating dosage schedules for successful treatments and safe withdrawal times for veterinary medicines.

In-house meeting compensation for production based veterinarians?
I like going to staff meetings and unless they conflict with relief dates that I have set up, I plan on attending them on my days off or on. I feel like the meetings are a good way to get the staff together on issues.

Multiple unerupted teeth
There are no swellings in her mouth, no gingivitis, and no pain on palpation of these sites. Do I worry about these missing teeth? Should she have a GA for me to take radiographs to look for unerupted teeth?

Making clinical decisions based on blood pressure measurements in veterinary patients
Blood pressure measurement is extremely labile with marked individual variation to stressors such as ride to clinic, odors, noise, handling, etc.
