• Served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Theriogenology
• Served as small animal program chairman for the National ACT/SFT meeting
• Lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of canine reproduction, infertility, whelping and neonatology
• Mentored students from 20 veterinary colleges and multiple countries with interests in canine reproduction
• Adjunct Professor of Clinical Sciences at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine
• Sponsor an endowed scholarship at the Ohio State University for students with an interest in canine reproduction

• Wife Aneta and 3 children including Randall V Hutchison DVM, Bradley and Emily

• Owning and racing Standardbred horses with son Randy
