Note: The three-part "How To Use VIN" course can be taken live (on the first three Wednesday nights of each month), or you can do it as self study.

VIN's How To course is divided into three sessions: an introduction to the main areas of VIN, Message Boards/MyVIN, and Library/Search/Associate.

Because members (VINners) have various levels of computer knowledge, we have outlined here some basic computer skills to prepare you for the How To courses. Even if you feel confident in your computer skills, you should take time to read this section, because you will be using those skills during the live sessions.

VIN is a constantly growing organism, so this three-part course does not cover everything on VIN. It does give you the major sections to get you started. To keep up with VIN's growth, you should take the time to explore the Front Page at least once a week, read the VIN This Week (VINTW) newsletter twice a week, explore the VINDEX (VIN's Front Page, right hand column), and click all the buttons on VIN's navigation bars.
