Practice Sessions: In order to prepare you for a successful experience in your CE course, we request you attend a Practice Session prior to the first Real Time Session. Level and Prerequisites: This intermediate course is focused on those veterinary professionals that work in the veterinary management and veterinary marketing.

This course has been approved by the VHMA for CVPM credits (17-12).

Course Description:
Marketing can be a daunting topic for veterinary practice owners and managers. Not only does the owner or manager need to think about marketing services and products, but now you also need to be able to manage your online presence and how to utilize the Internet and social media for marketing the practice. This course will discuss different types of marketing, assessing marketing types for return on investment and reach, and how to set a budget for marketing. It will also cover online presence and reputation management. It will cover low cost media management and social media optimization as well. We will briefly be covering search engine optimization.

Week 1 (Real Time Session October 3): Marketing Budgets and Marketing Types

About the Instructor:
Kelly Lynn Cronin, MBA, BS, CVT, VTS (ECC), PHR is a twenty five year veteran of the veterinary field. She holds a Veterinary Technician Specialty in emergency and critical care, a Masters of Business Administration and a Professional in Human Resources Certification. She has had the opportunity to lead a variety of veterinary teams in a variety of clinics from large emergency teams to small day practice teams. She is responsible for setting the marketing structure and monitoring campaigns for fifteen veterinary hospitals, for leading the hospital group in human resources, staffing, budgeting, contracts, benefits management, inventory and special events. She has consulted on veterinary topics for a variety of hospitals including small animal, mixed practice, specialty and emergency clinics. She has spoken both nationally and internationally on management, marketing, human resources, starting clinics, inventory, emergency and critical care and a wide variety of other topics.

Total CE Credit: 4.5

  1. Enrollment qualifications: VIN CE courses are open to VIN member and non-member veterinarians. Veterinarians enrolling in a VSPN CE course must be a VIN member. Veterinary support staff must be a VSPN member to enroll in a VSPN CE or a VIN CE course open to VSPN member enrollment.
  2. Each enrollee must be able to receive emails from @vspn.org and @vin.com addresses. Email is our major form of communication with participants; personal emails are highly recommended rather than clinic/hospital email addresses.
  3. Each person is individually responsible for his/her own registration. To ensure that all information received is secure and correct, please do not enroll for a course on behalf of another individual.

*Note: "This program 22-30448 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 4.50 CE Credits (4.50 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 4.50 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (4.50 max).
