This intermediate course is focused towards the veterinary technician who routinely deals with anesthesia case management. Veterinarians are highly encouraged to enroll with their veterinary technicians to work as a team in anesthesia. Module 1 is a prerequisite for Module 2 to help insure a complete understanding of the basic principles of anesthesia before learning how to develop an anesthesia protocol. These modules are approved CE for those applicants applying for their VTS (Anesthesia).

Due to the advanced level of the course material, the instructors require that the course participants have a specific type of training and experience. The majority of candidates will be those in training for a career in clinical pathology or those who already working in the clinical pathology laboratory. In some instances there may be a practitioner or veterinary nurse with an intense interest in clinical pathology that may wish to take this course, but should be advised that the course is intensive and will require a considerable input of time and effort when coming from a background without prior experience in a clinical pathology laboratory typical of a University or reference laboratory.

This intermediate course will be open to veterinarians actively interested in an overview of small animal reproduction, fluids/electrolytes/acid-base, urology, nephrology and endocrine information. This course is the fifth of six modules in the Organ System Pathophysiology and ABVP Core Examination review series. The MULT207-1014: Pathologic Basis of Disease and the MULT208-0215: Principles of Medicine courses are recommended prerequisites.
Open To Open to veterinarians.
Accreditation This course has been submitted for RACE approval for veterinarians.
Format   audio and text In some of the course Real Time Sessions the lecture will be predominantly audio while in others the lecture will be predominantly text.
