?Have a question about VIN CE? Need help with course access?

VIN offers to its members, and to non-member veterinarians, high-quality educational courses. Courses are held online and are taught by leading specialists. Online Continual Education enhances veterinary medicine by allowing veterinarians to expand their knowledge from their office or home with courses provided in a convenient, easy-to-use format. VIN's course offerings are comparable in scope to those of veterinary schools, and are unmatched by any other online service in any profession.

VIN online CE courses have 3 main components. Real-time sessions are held, usually for two hours once weekly, in the VIN Unity conferencing center. Course participants log in for a live interactive session with the instructor(s). These sessions are logged for future study and to ensure participants unable to attend at the actual time of the session will have access to all materials from their course. In addition to the real-time sessions, each course has a library of course materials, including such resources as handouts, slide shows, and movies. Each course also has an interactive message board for an ongoing dialogue between participants and instructors on the course material.

  • Please visit the COURSE CATALOG for information on current courses.
  • Please visit the How-to's of Online CE for more information about how online CE courses work.
  • Non-VIN member veterinarians may enroll in VIN CE courses. Non-members are given a trial or temporary membership to VIN in order to allow them access to their course areas and all the resources of VIN during their course. If you have specific questions about non-Member registration, please contact CEonVIN@vin.com.
  • Several times per year, VIN hosts sponsored CE events that are open to non-VIN-member veterinarians and do not require registration for participation. Registration for these events is required only if CE credit is desired.
  • If you're looking for information on CE opportunities for veterinary technicians, receptionists or practice managers, please visit http://www.vspn.org/CE/. VSPN offers courses specifically tailored to veterinary support personnel and certain VIN courses are also open to VPSN members.
